Knowing your way through the internet has a lot of gains that come with it. The most obvious would be to your social life. Web traffic is equivalent to real people passing by your site. As people we would always need to take a look and gather information wherever place we find ourselves in. This natural habit is what is being used at by advertising.
In real life there is no chance you could talk to people who are at two different places at the same time. In the past we are able to do this with the phone. Phone connection though is expensive that is why if anyone had a choice between a phone and online connections; it would be the latter. Other than the price, the choices on how you could connect to another person play an important factor as well. One could choose from these online communication means:
- Online Chat – refers to all kinds of ways a person gets his message across in the internet through text based means. The information is being sent and received in real time by both parties communicating. It is a way for two people to get a hold of each other on the internet and converse to each other and they would not have to worry about how long their conversation could take.
- Video Conference – You can also do this with the latest phones of today, but again it’s going to be even more expensive. Video conferencing through the internet remains the next best way to real interaction. The connection is provides makes it possible for people even if they are halfway around the world to greet each other and appreciate their smiles.
- Email – or electronic mail, is a service that does a better job than our regular mail in basically every aspect. The only advantage left for regular mail or snail mail is that it can be so much personal because it is written by hand. Email on the other hand wins in every other aspect. It does a good job of not only delivering mail but any other content that can be sent digitally. It is delivered at a blink of an eye and all you have to have is a registered email address which you can get for free.
- Blogging – is a popular way of delivering one’s thoughts and opinions. Through a very short period of time it has become a very powerful source of conveying much information to the person following it. It has gained ground because it is written in a much casual way than an editorial column on the newspaper – which does not mean that it cannot remain professional, some in fact still remains the same way.
We’re not going to have and discuss all the methods of how the internet has change our communicating ways so you can see my point. Web traffic has all demanded this because we are the consumers. Much like in the real world, the buyers are the ones who really dictate what is available.
