The internet has granted everyone the ability to start-up a business. As long as you have got the basic skills to surf the internet the sky is the limit. From it, one could acquire the know-how, the skills to maintain and to master the traffic generator needed for any online business to be successful. One could compare it to a rain-forest wherein all the resources all could be acquired in one place for survival. All you need to know is what to look for.
Last week I found out that a niece of mine has started an online boutique. She is seventeen if I’m not mistaken. Her father works for an airline company and gets free passes to countries regularly. He could take the whole family if he wants to. Because of this employee perk her father has, my niece is able to travel to a lot of foreign countries. Every so often she visits a particular country in Asia (I forgot where it is) where she could shop a lot of unique items. It’s shopping heaven as she said. She easily gathers merchandises this way. Bracelets, necklaces (some are exotic looking), watches, shades and skirts are the shopping items she focuses on. These items have a tremendous appeal to kids her age. So she found her niche on the market of teenagers which she obviously has an advantage in. It also is a great help that the amount of baggage she has been allowed to carry in flight is not like we’re used to for usual passengers (this again is brought by her paternal connection).
Her site is very simple looking but it does the job. Front page contains the picture of the items and their respective prices. The second tab has a list of the details needed to complete an order. The last tab has all the information about her and her online boutique. I have no doubt that she got some help from family and friends to get this site up, but again she’s seventeen. A little girl is able to come up with an idea and have the passion to create something never seize to amaze every time it comes across my mind. This would be next to impossible if we are to expect this from her in the real world.
And now I’m going to tell her about how a traffic generator works. I think it would complete the puzzle that she has almost figured out. That mind inside her little head of her has managed to solve the 80% part of the puzzle. Traffic generator is indeed a good 20% or even more. I might be just under estimating it. Expecting sales from a business that rarely gets any customers is not feasible. I don’t care no matter how well the product or service a business offers; if they are not visible to the public the revenue will be stuck at just being a potential. As a business owner you have to set aside some time and look for a traffic generator. Spending time to get an idea into a reality is not good enough.
