Before I was in the online marketing industry, I spent much of time developing my body. I was involved with sports, religiously going to the gym and running. In fact the first project that I got into with online marketing was about educating people how they can get fit. As you all know I’m sure, fitness sells nowadays. With all the instant food that is available to us the job of staying slim is going to get tougher from here. We are at a point where many people have traded their natural balance for more chance at success.
What do I mean with this?
We the people of this era are in constant battle amongst ourselves for positions, business and overall money. We are so much engaged in this game that we have forgotten our responsibility to ourselves. The stress we receive from day to day because of our pursuit to reach whatever ladder we dream to climb leaves us stumbling with our health in the end. Once we do get back to our senses that we are losing our health, we now are easily discouraged because we have strayed too far away from healthy living and we are not willing to live up the time we need to continue on climbing the career ladder.
What do I tell people to resolve this?
I tell them it’s just a matter of motivation. Once you find that one reason that you are willing to hold on tight, it will be easier for you to keep on track of the healthy convoy. That even when the calling from your other daily stresses becomes too loud, you will still find it easy to get back on track because you now have your focus coming from that great motivation.
Taking the concept online
If motivation is a huge chunk of staying in course and reaching success, then all we have to do is ask ourselves “what can get me motivated?” Usually with people who deal with websites, motivation comes from keeping in track with stats. That is why when you deal with people who concern themselves with online commerce, you’ll often hear the phrase “track website traffic”.
Here are websites to help you keep motivated by always being in touch with your site’s stats.
- Google Adplanner – if there is any brand who knows the internet most, it is probably Google.
- Alexa – one of the most popular traffic tracking sites is owned by amazon. The site has an interface easily maneuverable.
- Compete – This popular website offers a nice graph so you would see the chronological progression of your site. If it’s going up, then all is well and you’d have no trouble being motivated.
- URL Trends – This site boast a very good user interface which is easy to get the hang of because its layout is like that of a map.
By using these sites as tools, you would be able to keep track of changes and fluctuations in your site. This makes you always engaged in the present and prevents your mind from straying too far ahead, which as results gives you on track to success.
